FINAL ARCHITECTURE PROJECT: JEFFERSON MEMORIAL (WASHINGTON, D.C.)

I was given two days to re-create a section cut model of the Jefferson Memorial with its exact measurments for my final Architecture exam, two days where I did not sleep. This project consisted of going to the memorial with a mesauring tape, a sketchbook, and a camera.
After documenting the major measurments, I sketched out a 36 in. x 18 in section cut drawing and sketched similar parts on museum board.
The center contains a site plan of the National Mall and a site plan of the Jefferson Memorial.
The section cut of the Jefferson dome (with its caffeurs) was cut in half and is located on the right and left top corners of the box.
The bottom portion of the box (from left to right) consists of a section cut of the Jefferson column, a model of the top portion of the column, and a model of one of the caffeurs located on the inside ceiling of the Jefferson Memorial.
